This kind of Motzay Shabbos we celebrate a most momentous occasion. A great milestone. The two hundredth הסתלקות/הילולא with the Alter Rebbe. The one who started it all. One who opened our spirits, minds, minds, and eyes. At a time such as this, we must supply our profound appreciation and thanks -- together with resolutions to continue firmly striving for, and living lifespan, he demanded from us. Moreover, to spread his teachings which which he stood pertaining to, throughout the world. Understanding can only comply with awareness. To formulate awareness we need to contemplate. Where to begin? The most oft-repeated teaching of the Alter Rebbe, which we have all heard from the Rebbe, was. אז מען דארף לעבן מיט דער צייט One must live with the times, which means the Parsha of the week. (See היום יום ב' חשון. ) Being disciples of the Adjust Rebbe, the natural way, this is where we shall start. The Parsha, שמות, includes a narrative which played an integral part within a historical event of the Modify Rebbe's life. In this tale of the Modify Rebbe, which is one of my own all-time favourites, he repeats a extraordinary cardinal instructing of the Frey Shem Tov, which the Alter Rebbe heard from the Mezritcher Maggid, his teacher.[The Friediker Judischer priester related the storyline in Chicago, seventy one years ago, פרשת שמות תש''ב. (Printed in ספר השיחות תש''ב, pg. 45-50. )] This can be the well-known history about The Debate of Minsk, ויכוח מינסק. In 1783, with the famous general public debates where Alter Judischer priester faced the opponents of Chassidus -- the " גאוני עולם" (super guru scholars) from the surrounding urban centers, and dealt with their problems and disputes against the school of thought of the Frey Shem Tov and Chassidism. Briefly, amongst the fundamental objections were two, which, primarily contended that Chassidus seemingly undermines תלמידי חכמים and Torah scholarship grant. 1 . According to Chassidus even the עמי הארץ/אנשים פשוטים, the public and simpletons should set great focus on their Davening, because of its substantial importance. But , the מתנגדים argued that the gives the simpletons and boors positive reassurance, affirmation and value; thus lowering the worth of theתלמידי חכמים, when, honestly, the גמרא states obviously that " Punishment comes to this world only because of the עמי הארץ, ignoramuses! ” (What good is there in these people? Surely college students are greater than illiterates? ) 2 . According to Chassidus even a גאון, a Talmudic Genius, and צדיק, a Saint and Righteous person, must do Teshuva. If so , the מתנגדים claimed, below too, with this concept, תורת החסידות degrades and reduces the honor and admiration due to Torah Scholars, once in truth, they are the very foundation and " builders" of the world! (What are Torah Scholars doing so incorrect that they must repent? ) The Adjust Rebbe responded both questions, with a teaching of the Dionysus Shem Tov. He discussed how the very foundation of Chassidus stems from a tale of this week's Parsha, the storyplot of the using bush while understood inside the light of Chassidus. " An angel of G-d appeared to [Moshe] in the center of a blazing fire in the midst of your thorn rose bush. As [Moshe] gazed, he saw which the bush was on fire, however the bush was not being consumed. Moshe said, " אסורה נא! ” " I want to turn away by what I i am doing here [tending to the sheep] and go over generally there to behold this remarkable sight. How come doesn't the bush burn? ”” (Exodus 3: 3) This was Moshe Rabbeinu's excellent first Divine encounter. The teaching with the Baal Shem Tov contains two parts:
1 . The lining meaning with this revelation.
2 . How that affected Moshe Rabeinu.
[(3. For what reason he merited this revelation in particular in the first place is not really addressed here. 4. One should know, that in a sense, the complete episode in the burning bush is only a prelude as to what follows right after, which is the גילוי of " וירא ה'... ויקרא אליו אלוקים" which is likewise not addressed here. )] The inner meaning in the Burning Rose bush
The blazing flame in the burning bush symbolises the fiery heart of the " אנשים...
