1 . ) The main issue being handled is about the discrimination of Homosexuals in the areas of Marriage, Profession and Perception of Gender Jobs. Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act would not make a line in protecting Homosexuals since it is not packed with sexual positioning. This is also the truth of the DOMA bill wherein they ever done it for the " moral rather than the city rights terms, knowing the public's perception of homosexuality because immoral” (Hurst 2010, l. 136). Couples that are in long term same sex human relationships cannot be granted privileges (health care, survivor benefits, interpersonal security) like those of traditional couples because it is not recognized at the federal level. Gender role and sexual orientation likewise plays one factor in discrimination in the specialist setting seeing that ones male or female role is based upon types sex which can be determined anatomically. Society assigns ones functions and intimate orientation dependant on these elements and if one particular veers off of the common understanding of world, then one is perceived as a homosexual, (think of an effeminate man, manly woman, or perhaps someone transgendered) and as such there exists a stigma fastened and a notion the particular one cannot be skilled for a job because they cannot fit the mold or perhaps assigned gender role, rather than looking at the merit of the persons qualifications.
