We, the students of Kenyatta University— • • • • • • • Aware that the corporation of pupils at Kenyatta University was created to serve the student community in the pursuit of academics excellence, sociable welfare, tranquility, competitiveness in the job market, and integrity; Exercising our directly to determine the proper execution of organization we consider suitable for the association; Determined that the beliefs of visibility, accountability, admiration for the rights of students, and social proper rights shall be institutionalized in our connection so as to make certain that democracy is enjoyed by all students; Convinced that Constitution shall guarantee the continuing peaceful living of the affiliation known as the Kenyatta University Students' Association; Knowing the desire of the students to experience a constitution that will govern these people; Acknowledging the authority of and determined to adhere to the Kenyatta University Action, the Charte of Kenyatta University, and the laws of the Republic of Kenya; Do hereby, while using consent in the University's United states senate, adopt and bind ourself by this Metabolism as the Constitution with the Kenyatta University Students' Association.
2 Section One Term and Goal
Name Article 01. 1) There shall be a union of Kenyatta University students referred to as Kenyatta College or university Students' Connection, also referred to as KUSA, which, pursuing approval by University's United states senate, shall be authorized with the Kenyatta University Council. 2) The Kenyatta University Students' Affiliation shall, for any purposes, be abbreviated while KUSA. KUSA's Scope of Operation Content 02. 1) All Kenyatta University students shall abide by this kind of Constitution. 2) The headquarters of KUSA shall be located at the main campus of Kenyatta School. 3) With all the approval of Congress, campuses or organizations declared to be part of Kenyatta University might establish part offices of KUSA. Aims and Objectives of KUSA Article goal. 1) The aims and objectives of KUSA shall be— a) to establish efficient and effective processes and organs intended for the making and operations of KUSA's policies; b) to deepen the members' sense of duty to our university community, families, and nation; c) to ensure the privileges of college students in teachers, disciplinary activities, administration and health solutions, catering and accommodation, social welfare solutions, and security; d) to supply students with suitable possibilities for a healthy and balanced social existence through the artistry, sports, and entertainment; e) to advance sexuality equity; f) to further the integration of people with unique needs in Kenyatta College or university and contemporary society; g) to liaise while using Directorate of Alumni in enhancing contact with the alumni of Kenyatta University; h) in consultation with the University's management, to honour associates of the student body who have made exceptional contributions towards the University in academic and co-curricular activities; i) to develop positive relationships with the average person through engagement in community service and also other related jobs;
3 j) with the endorsement of the Vice-Chancellor, to work together with nonpolitical organizations, specialist associations, and student organizations that discuss the aims and targets of KUSA.
4 Section Two Membership
Membership Document 04. 1) Any student admitted to Kenyatta School and authorized for a course leading to diploma for being a certificate, diploma, or perhaps degree of the University will be a member of KUSA. 2) A registered student is definitely one who provides paid college or university fees and registered on-line during the session. Cessation of Membership Article 05. 1) A member shall cease as a member of KUSA when they ceases to become student of Kenyatta School. 2) An individual who ceases to be a member of KUSA shall not be entitled to a refund of or perhaps compensation for almost any subscription fee, money, or perhaps donation built to KUSA.
